Report rights violations
Many of us may encounter human rights violations in the course of our work or observe them around us. What should you do when it is not possible to report these violations to the police? If there are reports you would like to bring to our attention and you do not need to remain anonymous, you can write to us at contact@cild.eu. Otherwise, on our website, we offer the possibility of making detailed reports of such abuses, in a safe way which protecting the confidentiality of those involved.
To ensure the safety of those making reports, we use a tried and tested technological platform that has already been implemented worldwide. Globaleaks, an open source software developed by the Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights, allows for anonymous dialogue with the person making the report, with no way for the recipient or others to trace its origin.
The portal uses the HTTPS protocol, an encryption protocol that guarantees the transfer of confidential data. To communicate in the safest way, it is necessary to install the Tor browser, which allows anonymous browsing.

There are three ways to report a violation
CONFIDENTIAL
The person making the report decides to identify himself; the content of his report cannot be traced or accessed by third parties. The reporter can dialogue with us.
ANONYMOUS
The person making the report does not identify him/herself, but can still communicate anonymously with us.
MAXIMUM SECURITY
Reporting is done using the Tor browser. This mode makes both the report and the source untraceable, and still allows you to communicate with us confidentially or anonymously.
Under no circumstances will the identity or other identifying data of the reporter be forwarded without his or her consent.
